Water
Water and Irrigation
In western Afghanistan, water decides whether an orchard survives. We plan water before we plant trees.
Realistic water assessment
Every proposal starts from the water actually available at the site — wells, channels, rainfall patterns and seasonal reliability.
Drip irrigation where it fits
Drip systems can dramatically reduce water use for young orchards. We include them where the site and maintenance capacity support it.
Simple, maintainable solutions
We favour solutions farmers can run and repair locally over complex systems that fail unattended.
Water in the project budget
Water infrastructure is costed openly in proposals — it is part of the project, not an afterthought.
